Battle of Gonzales
The Battle of Gonzales was the first thing that started the conflict in thein the Texas Revolution. It was fought by angry, rebelious Texan settelers agianst the Mexican army. This battle started the war when Stephan F Austin declares a war only a couple of days after the battle started on October 2, 1835. -
Constitution of 1835
People met at the Constulation to rally for peace or war. Peace- trying to talk to the government to restore the constitution of 1824. War- were trying to restore it by force. -

It was put into action at the Convention of 1836 at Washington-on-the-Brazos on March 2, 1836. "Trial by Jury" and "Our arms our essential to defense." are only some of the things added to the Declaration of 1835. -
Texans Attack of San Antonio
The Texans were fighting the Mexican Army. They fought until the Mexicans surrendered. The Mexican Army fled to Santa Anna as soon as this had happened. -

This is when Mexico starting coming into San Antonio. The Rebels weren't prepared and had thought that the Mexicans would take longer due to weather. -
Texas Declaration of Independance
The Texas Declaration of Independence was produced while they were under the siege. Immediately upon the assemblage of the Convention of 1836 on March 1 a committee of five of its delegates were appointed to draft the document. The committee, consisted of George C. Childress, Edward Conrad, James Gaines, Bailey Hardeman, and Collin McKinney. -

This Constitution supported many of the US's constitution, such as "Trial by Jury" and others.Texas had operated continuously under a constitutional government since 1824 before the Constitution of 1835 the only one made in the timeframe of that one to this one. -
Battle of the Alamo
It followed a thirteen-day siege and was a pivotal point in the Texas Revolution. In the early morning hours of March 6, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. The texans were outnumbered and couldnt defend. The Alamo is now "the most popular tourist site in Texas" -

Battle of Refugio/Coleto (Goliad Massacre)
There were 120 Americans versus 1,000 Mexicans. It was fought near the town of Refugio. Mexican's won and it tore the rest of the American resistance. -
Swearing in of the Texas Government Officials
Three commisioners were elected:Stephen F.Austin,Branch Archer, and William H. Warton. Sam Houston was named commander-in-cheif. They were sworn in as Texas Government Officials. -
