The Invention of the Rotoscope
was invented by Max Fleisher and his brother. The Rotoscope was invented to trace over live-action film movement, frame by frame, for use in animated films. Short animated films like Betty Boop, Popeye the Sailor Man, and Koko the Clown. This technique was later used by famous animators like Walt Disney. -
The Newman Laugh-O-Gram

Felix the Cat
Was one of the biggest short film stars of his time. He was also the star of some of TV's most famous photos. He debuted in the short film Feline Follies and was created by Otto Messmer and Pat Sullivan. -

Disneys Fantasia was released, along with the debut of the movie came the publics intoduction to Fantasound which was a multichannel stereo system. Only 6 theaters were equipped with Fantasound. Fantasia was one of the first films with a sound track. -
