Jessie is born
I was the last of four children to be born. God brought me into this world and my parents say that God was present and shone through me from the moment i was born. -
My baptism
God was present at my baptism in a very large way. I was baptised in the church of Our Lady of Victory. There are many crosses and there is holy water that shows and symbolyizes the presence of God in that church. God was very much present. -
Family moves to Beevercreek
God helped in making the move to Beevercreek go smothly and safley. He calmed the nerves of my siblings who did not want to move to a new school and have to make all new friends. God helped my parents in trying to make the best choice for the family even when it went against my siblings wishes. -
Family moves back to Cincinnati
A month later we moved back to Cincinnati. God helped in making it a smoothe transition. He guided my family back to Cincinnati which is where we are supposed to be. He helped my parents build up the courage to move again and do what was right for the family. We are now so happy that we moved back to Cincinnati and would not want it any other way. -
Dad gets a new job
On September 2 my dad got a new job. Got guided him in finding this job. He was very excited to start and loved everything that it involved. We needed God because if my dad could not find a job then my family would have a very hard time financially. God helped my dad find a job and my parents are now able to provide for my siblings and I. -
First Vacation- Saw the ocean for the first time
I went on my first vacation when i was four years old and although i was very young, I got to see the beauty of the ocean for the first time. The ocean is very beautiful and shows the true beauty of God and how awsome his creation is. I truly believe that God is present in all of his creation and that he was present in that ocean and the marvelous sunset. It is becuase of God that my family had a chance to go there and see his creation. -
I broke my wrist
I broke my wrist when i was about five or six years old. It hurt worse than anything i had ever felt before. My parents were very scared and did not know exactly how to handle it at first. God gave them grace which allowed them to help me in any way possible and to know what to. I also think that God helped in healing the pain that i felt. After awhile my wrist did not hurt quite as badly and I think that was God's doing. God helped my parents realize how to handle the situation. -
First day at Saint Antoninus
I was so excited to finally start the first grade,but when the morning of my first day came, i was sick to my stomach. My parents tried to calm me down and told me about how much fun I was going to have. I think that God was with me that day as I walked into that school. I actually felt courageous, like something was helping me through it.Even if i did not make any friends that day, I knew that I always had one true friend that i could rely on, and that was God.He helped me through my first day. -
First sports team
I was very nervous to be playing soccer for the first time. I had watched my brothers and sister play for several years but i had never played on a team before.I was unbelievabbly scared.My team prayed before the game which i think made things much better.God knew that i was nervous and i think that he helped me in making sure that i did the right things and did not make a fool of myself during my first game.He guided my every step.God helped me through my first game and i now love soccer! -
First Reconciliation
I was in the second grade when i recieved this sacrament for the first time. I was very nervous so my parents told me to look and talk to God on the cross while I was waiting for my turn. I prayed to him and think that he was actually present in that church and listining to my every word. When i confessed my sins to the priest i think that God was there in that room listining to me and forgiving me. -
First Communion
This is a very special sacrament. I believe that God was present throughout the entire thing. He was there to welcome his children into the church. He was present through the Eucharist as well. When I took that Eucharist i was saying that i accepted and believed in God. We believe that God is always present in the Eucharist. God was present at this sacrament in several ways. -
Trip to Niagra Falls
This was one of my favorite vacations. Niagra is known for its beautiful waterfalls. When i looked at these waterfalls i was in awe. I could not speak because they were so marvelous. I was speachless because of how beautiful they were and I knew that they were all there and created by God. As I looked at the falls the mist made me feel that God was actually present there with me. -
First Wedding
My cousins wedding was the very first wedding that i had ever been to. It was a really cool experience for me to see. I think that God's presence and just knowing that he is there makes this sacrament so magical. You are becoming even closer to the one you love and God is there to witness the whole thing. God is there to guide you and carry you up the aisle on your special day. -
First time serving mass
I really enjoyed serving mass. I like helping the priest in serving the Lord. Being a server allows me to give back to him for all he has done for me. I become closer to him every time i serve. I feel that God i present on the altar as the priest recites the mass and he is also present in the Eucharist. -
Laura (sister) brought to the hospital
One night my sister was unexpectedly brough to the hospital one night. I woke up so astonished and scared and hoped for nothing other than her being alright. I prayed every night that week and one night i prayed to God harder than I ever have. I could feel God in my heart talking to me. This brought me comfort and my sister came home within the next few days. God helped me to deal with this problem and he still remains in my heart for any situation. -
Confirmation
I feel that God was with me throughout the whole sacrament of Confirmation. When i was walking down the aisle and my sponsor put their hands on my shoulders, i felt that God also had his hands on my shoulders. He was present to support me the whole time. -
High school entrance test
I was more nervous than i had been for awhile on the day of this test. This is what determined whether or not I got into Seton High School. When I got to the school everyone was shaking from being so scared. We all prayed before the test and i felt that this brought about alot of peace throughout the school. Got was present and helped to calm all of our nerves and do the best that we could do. -
Class trip to Washington D.C
If you ask any of the parents who took us to Washington they would say that God was definatley present during the Washington trip. There were almost fifty of us and it would have been very hard to watch over us and protect us without the help the help of God. God watched over all of us and made sure that we all made it home safley. -
Saint Antoninus graduation
God helped me all the way through my grade school years and I could feel the presence of him at my graduation. He helped me get all the way through those tough years and he was there to help me until the very end. As I took my diploma i saw the cross hanging on the wall and i felt that he was looking right at me. -
Grandma died
This was a very heartbreaking day for my family and I. We loved my grandma so much and to lose her was like my entire world crumbled to pieces. Before she died the sacrament of the sick was performed which was one of the most powerful things that I have felt in my life. As we all prayed with my grandma for the final time I could feel God in the room bringing about peace and telling us all that everything was going to be alright. -
Got tablet
This was a great day in my life. I loved my tablet and was on it as often as possile. I have to thank not only my parents, but also God for having the oppurtunity to have such a thing. God provided me with awsome parents who are able to provide us with things that will help us, the tablet being one of those things. It is because of God that i have so many of these kinds of oppurtunities in my life. -
Making the Seton soccer team
This was one of the things that i had been looking forward to since I was a little girl. Finding out that i made the team made me so excited. God was there to help me and he was the one who gave me the ability and gifts to be able to do so. I give God the credit for the Seton soccer team. If it was not for God i would not even have had the chance to try out. -
First day of school at Seton
I was very scared of how this day was going to go. I prayed to God that he would help me throughout the day and give me the courage to talk and meet new people. I am usually a shy person and i know that God was with me that day because of how much I was willing and wanted to talk to new people. God was definatley with me that day. -
First day of Seton track
I did not really plan on running track until about a year ago. I think that God was with me in making that decision becuase i think that it is going to be something that i can really do good at. Like soccer, I was very nervous in the beginning, but as the first day went on I met more people and realized how fun track was going to be. As I mentioned before, I think that God helped me in making the decision to run track and he helped me to talk at practice and get to know alot of new girls. -
Praying the human rosary at school
This was great thing for us to do togather as a school. With each prayer, another candle was light which reminded us of the presence of God in the room. As we prayed I felt God in each and every one of those flames and knew that he was present with us. This was very powerful for me and allowed me to get close to God and feel his presence within the Seton community.
