My Birth
I was born in Vienna, the Republic of Austria on January 31, 1797. My father was Franz Theodor Schubert, and he was a parish schoolmaster and son of a Moravian peasant. On The Road to Death
My health begins to rapidly deteriorate. It is said that I may have typhoid fever or mercury poisoning, Mercury is a common treatment for syphilis.
