Tenants paid August rent without a lease in place
Tenants paid full $1550 rent without a renewal lease presented and in place. Current lease had expired -
September rent not paid
September rent not paid as there was no lease in place. -
Tenant called landlords son to request renewal lease
Somepoint in September, contacted Peter, landlords son, regarding renewal lease. We were told the landlord was still in Greece and we would have to wait for him to return to receive it. -
New lease given to tenant
Landlord gave tenant a new lease, similar to old lease but with dates updated. Not a DHCR Renewal Lease Form RTP-8. -
October Rent and Signed Lease mailed to landlord

Contacted landlords so regarding rent checks not cashed
Landlords son contacted in order to question why rent checks not cashed, he said they had not yet received rent or signed lease. Tenants investigated and appears to have been lost in the mail. -
Landlords son contacted regarding new copy of renewal
Landlords son was contacted, told tenant new copy of lease would cost $25 and September, October, and November rent was due. Said landlord would be in touch. -
Earliest renewal lease may be in effect, if not August 1st
Tenant has the choice of choosing the date the renewal lease would have begun had a timely offer had been made or the first rent payment date occurring no less than 90 days after the offer is made.
