Phil Bourne joins the team
Phil Bourne leads our Data Enabler and self-evaluation programmes. Since joining the SSAT in 2006, Phil's work has already impacted over 2000 schools.
Specialising in learner motivation, data handling, learning platforms and school improvement through the use of internet technology. His most recent work involves research and development into how schools are engaging with the SSAT and he has used this to deliver improvements in the support provision for our schools. -

Toolkit updates
In response to the DfES changing the Ready Reckoner and CVA coefficients, the Data Enabler toolkit has been amended to recognise the change in CVA calculations.
To obtain customer feedback we have engaged Survey Monkey to collect information about how the resource is used by schools so that we can improve the resource.
Professor Jesson has been commissioned by us to investigate how the frameworks can be used by selective schools. -
Toolkit updates
Some schools have identified problems with the pop-ups and this has been resolved by opening only one page. Now the green page will not load. Additionally the active content warning which appears in Internet Explorer browsers now does not appear.
To improve the users view- we have engaged full screen functionality- this can be done by pressing F11 and a note exists to this effect on the title page when the resource is launched.

In association with the University of Lancaster the SSAT has developed an MRes Practitioners course. -
Highrise CRM implemented
Our Highrise CRM was initiated which allows us to better support schools. -

Visualising the National Challenge resource
We have launched a new resource: Visualising the national challenge. This can be shared with other schools but we hope that it can be used to support intervention and planning to ensure that students at your school get 5 or more good GCSEs greater than C grade. -

Review tools
The Data Enabler team has been busy developing review tools to support schools in embedding a better understanding of data with staff. These are anticipated to be launched on the next release. -
Included in Ofsted publication
Using data, improving schools The Data Enabler toolkit has been included alongside RAISE on-line and FFT as a source of data to support school improvement by Ofsted. -

High Performing frameworks under go final testing
The High Performing frameworks are undergoing final testing before being released. This is anticipated to happen during the next week! -
Latest update
Latest version of the Data Enabler toolkit has been launched to schools. The new welcome screen is designed to allow schools to easily access the main aims of the programme, encourage participation across the school, develop awareness of the differences between estimates and targets and also encourage action planning. The existing Introduction and quiz has also been retained as it is a popular feature for starter tasks when school leaders deliver training. -
New ePortal launched
The SSAT's new ePortal is launched helping schools to access the Data Enabler toolkit more easily through user's individual homepages. -

Educational Outcomes online
This resource has been updated with information from the AAT. Educational Outcomes online is available for all schools who are a member of the SSAT via the schoolsnetwork website. http://www.ssatrust.org.uk/results
