Everest Expedition with John Krakauer

  • Got a call from bob hall saying there was room on his everest expedition

    the reason being for this call was that there was room on a expedition to climb everest with bob hall. John had never even thought about this so he agreed to be on the expedition with Bob hall.

    The people in this expedition had a puju ceremony at base camp one to secure good health and that no one person is to die on this mountain. The dea of this puju is to make everyone have a good spirit and let not a single bad spirit in any of the climbers.

    Acclimatization is process of adjusting your body to the current environment you are in. Allowing you to survive in the environment you are. this occurs in a short time meaning days to weeks.

  • Nawang cacthes edema

    Edema is also called Dropsy. It is caused by fluids in your bodies tissue. It usually occurs in the legs,ankles,feet. but it can involve the entire body. what causes edema is eating to much salt, sunburn, sme medicines and standing or walking alot well the weather is warm and pregnancy.

  • Guide ropes need to be fixed

  • Nawang is rushed to Kathmandu

    Nawang was rushed to Kathmandu becasue she got sick with edema which causes your legs to swell. She got off the mountain by helicopter after, some people carried her far down enough on the mountain so, a helicopter mission was possible for her to be rescued.

    Andy Harris was one of the guides on this expedition with John. The believed that instead of turning into the base camp he kept walking straight and fell of the mountain and died. the reason for this happening is their was a very bad whiteout storm occuring so that made it hard to see.
