World War 1 started because of the assination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire were against The Allies Great Britain, France, Japan, Russia, and Italy. Modern weaponry started to be used and trench warfare was a popular fighting tactic. -
United States Joins World War 1
The United States entered World War 1 on April 6, 1917. A reason that they US joined the war is because of their ships being sunk by German mines. -
World War 1 Ends
World War 1 came to an end on November 11, 1918 with the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty that brought everyone to some agreements, but it did not settle all of their issues with each other. -

The United States stock market crashed on October 29, 1929 before the start of WW2. The stock market crashing was one of the factors that contributed to the start of WW2. -

World War 2 started on September 1, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland. Germany soon conquered six countries in three months. Countries included were Denmark, Norway, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, and The Netherlands. Causes of World War 2 are linked to Great Depressions and The Treaty of Versailles. -

Japanese fighter planes attacked American Naval base in Hawii. The Japanese destroyed 20 American naval vessels, 200 airplanes, and more than 2,000 American's were wounded or died. -

This was the first military outbreak during the Cold War against the Communist countries and the United Nations committed to defeating the Axis Powers. -

Apollo 11 Lands On Moon
Apollo 11 was apart of a goal that JFK set for them to land on the moon and return safely to Earth. They were the first to land and the moon which put them ahead of the Soviets in the Space Race. -
