Audio14 year-old Emmett Till was brutally murdered by two white men for allegedly flirting with a white woman while visiting family in Mississippi. The muderers were aquitted of the charges, but later admitted to killing Till in an interview. -
Rodney King Beating
AudioFour LAPD officers beat Rodney King after he engaged them in a high speed chase. A bystander caught the beating on camera and the incident was seen nation wide. Two of the officers were charged with civil rights violations and the other two were acquitted. -
NYPD Shoot Unarmed Man 41 Times
AudioAmadou Diallo, a 23 year-old Guinean, was shot 41 times by four plain clothed New York City Police Officers in the Bronx. Diallo was unarmed. The police were acquitted of murder charges.
