Britain issues Balfour Declaration which calls for “support of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people"
This event is mportant because it encouraged Jews from all over the world to emigrate to the British Mandate of Palestine in the hope that Britain would allow them to set up an independent Jewish state there in the foreseeable future. -

The Camp David Accords were signed by Egyptian President Anwar El Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem. It went for thirteen days of secret negotiations at Camp David. This event is important because it led directly to the 1979 Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty. -

The collateral damage to the economies of other nations was also immense. The war was one of the most strategically important conflicts of modern times because it involved two major oil producers and the region where more than half the world's reserves are located. -

On July 17, 1990, Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein accused Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates of flooding the world oil market.
This event is important because it divided the Arab world into two camps, It also affected the Arab contrey's economics especially The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
