The Flappers are the women who cut heir hair short, wore make, smoked and took risks. In addition to being called flappers, they were also called the new stlye of Western Women. They listened to jazz music. I choose them because they showed women were more then just getting married and cooking food. -
The Great Depression
The Great Depression happened in 1929 to 39. This was an economic down turn and many people lost their jobs at the
time. In that time many stock markets crashed and that was the start of The Great Depression. The single unemplyeed man had to go to camps and worker there where they were payed. The government payed them 20 cents a day which was not enough money for them, So they went on strike. -
The Dust Bowl
The dust bowl was a bad thing for the farmers. It brought droughts and very bad storms. The drought made the graas disapare and it destroyed anything in its path. Cause of this farmers had to move to places like Toronto and etc. While others relied on the government for food supplies.
