God continues to advance his mission to reflect his glory was by telling Abraham to sacrifice his son. God's ultimate mission is to spread his glory upon Earth, and what he wanted to do was see if Abraham would do just that. He used his own son to see if Abraham would ever doubt him or if he was afraid of God. Because Abraham but his faith in God, He knows that Abraham and his descendants would spread the word of God to everyone else.

Its scriptures, the Vedas, meaning the knowledge, are considered to have been written around 1500 BCE and are thought to be some of the oldest written texts.

In the story of Joseph, you can see many types similar to those of Jesus. I think the most important type was how Joseph was betrayed by his own brothers (Genesis 37;19-36) "But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him." This connects to the NT because Jesus was betrayed almost like Joseph, He was sold out by one of his most closest disciples. Just like the Jews, the brothers never believed Joseph and like Judas they were drived by jealousy/greed.

Approximate date of the wandering of the Israelites in the desert, and is not a lot of years after the approximate exodus in Egypt. Ch 1-11 are impossible to date but Abraham is born c.2166 BC. The location would be the fertile crescent and includes the themes of creation, death, flood, covenant.

Early Hebrew exists in a variety of local variants and also shows development over time; the oldest example of Early Hebrew writing, the Gezer Calendar, dates from the 10th century BCE, and the writing used varies little from the earliest North Semitic alphabets.

The Late Period of Ancient Egypt began around 653 BC. It was a time when Egypt was united under Egyptian rulers. However, this didn't last long. Around 525 BC, the Persians conquered Egypt and the Achaemenid Period of Egypt began. Source: https://www.ducksters.com/history/ancient_egypt/late_period_and_persian_rule.php

(Mark 3:19) "and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Him." In the NT, Jesus was betrayed by his very own disciple. This is similar to to how Joseph's brother ended up betraying him and selling him as a slave.. There are also many other instances where Joseph and Jesus relates like how the Jews and Joseph's brother both didn't recognise Jesus and Joseph and it shows how both the Jews and the Brothers are both the same "type" and how Joseph has a very similar story to Jesus, starting weak to strong.

I think I can really reflect on the story of Abraham almost sacrificing his son because of his faith in God. (Genesis22;1-19) Right now, I don't think I even come close to how much faith Abraham has in God. But through that story I need to learn that i should really trust in god and never be hesitant because I should know that God always has a plan for me even though it seems you have to go through high and lows. But God would use those lows to build you as a person and make you stronger.

The most important point is Judaism. They practice by a belief that there is only one transcendent God who revealed himself to Abraham. Showing that a whole religion would be taught about who Abraham is fulfilling the covenant of (Genesis 12;1-3) where God says that he would give Abraham a big name and many descendants, and we can see that he also has many they are basically the Arab and Jewish population which covers a lot of people. Showing that in the end God really does fulfil the covenant.
