Teaching Career Starts
Laptops were available to students through shared laptop carts. Laptops were shared between 2-3 teachers. Computers were primarily used to final drafts of writing assignments and students who were on alternative schedule or able to work independently. Smart Boards are in classrooms to use interactive lesson and aid in direction instruction. -

Class Dojo is an application we use to track students across classes. It is also used to reward positive behaviors. Finally, it serves as a tool to communicate between home and school. -

Kahoot
Kahoot is a great way to create online review in a game format. Students are always excited to play Kahoot. It's a great way to engage learning in a game format. -

1:1 Technology
BJHS moves to 1:1 classrooms. Students are provided computers for school and home. -

Schoology
As I moved to working outside the instructional setting, classrooms integrated Learning Management Systems such as Schoology. Our teaching team uses this to provide guided notes, audio version of materials, online textbooks and study resources. -

Socrative
I currently use Socrative to create interactive study sessions, online assessments and exit slips. -
EDpuzzle
EDpuzzle is a tool that we use to modify geography assignments for our students. Many of our students struggle with understanding what information to pull from videos and important notes for note taking. -

Quizlet Live
Recently, I used Quizlet Live in a co-taught setting. In this program, student work in groups to compete in review games. The classroom was lively and had to work together to solve problems.
