John's brother Jim wrote this major motion picture, and invited all of John's friends and family to a screening to honor him. It was an experience I'll never forget. Plus, I brought Stella and we took a midnight stroll through Times Square.

A speaking gig that would change my life. I arrived in Kansas City, MO for the NVOAD conference during a tornado warning, and instead of taking my planned trip to San Diego and Santa Barbara after that speaking gig, I ended up in Joplin, MO, to see the Red Cross response to the devastating tornado there.
-
After Joplin, it was nice to land in paradise to meet Shelby and Graham and to see Frans and Claire.
-
Kayaked several times a week from June through October. I am in love with being out on the water in my boat.

Watched STS-135 take off with my naked eye, along with Tommy, Elaine, Meredith, Bryan, Rick and Harrison.

Got the 210A Winthrop band back together to enjoy an awesome fancy pants dinner with Gina and Caroline.

Another truly inspiring visit to learn from Dell about their social media success.
-
I don't like a year to go by without being in a real boat, so I was lucky Danielle invited me sailing on the world's fastest Skipjack, a sailboat only found in the Chesapeake area.
-
A whirlwind trip to see the insides of the major social networking platforms. Even met Jack Dorsey!
-
Amazing human beings to take in a wayward stray like me for turkey day. I'm so thankful to them for sharing with me.
-
I was lucky to be invited by the Australian Red Cross, and I got to bring my mom and brother along for the trip of a lifetime.

So great to check in with my extended family in Atlanta. It was a ball!
