  • Raspberry Pi

    Raspberry Pi
The first Raspberry pi, released in February 29, 2012. It is a small computer that can be used for many different things. It was released to be used in schools to teach coding and computing classes.
I think that it was a major breakthrough in the computer/ technology world because it has led to MANY different ideas and creations. Including an emulator to play old school games if you don't have the console, or even to replace your desktop entirely. Invented by Jack Lang.
  • PlayStation 4

    PlayStation 4
On November 15, 2013 Sony released the PlayStation 4 (PS4) in the US. Only two weeks later on the 29th, it was released in Europe. This console changed the course for PlayStation, as it had many innovative designs compared to the PS3. This included more memory, incredible graphics for games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn. It also introduced a more user friendly interface, making it easier to access settings and a special touch pad on the controller. Invented by Mark Cerny.

Because of the improvements, the interface has a sleek, more modern look to it. It can also handle better and came with the updated version of Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge. • 5 Atom Quantum Computer

    5 Atom Quantum Computer
On March 4, 2016, the first five-atom quantum computer was created. I don't fully understand the purposes of quantum computers but I do understand they can solve problems that every day normal computers can't, and can store and process more information than the average computer. I think they will bring a LOT more technologically complex things into the grasp of STEM career fields. Invented by Isaac Chuang and Mark Kubinec.
  • Nintendo Switch

    Nintendo Switch
On March 3, 2017, Nintendo released the Nintendo Switch. It was another milestone for gaming consoles, with the way it could switch between a Wii-like form (that being the console with remotes), a handheld such as a DS, and console with a controller. It has such a variety of ways to use it compared to past consoles of most, if not all, designs. It even has an app you can use on your phone to connect and further interact with some games! Invented by Yoshiaki Koizumi.
