BitTorrent Is Launched
BitTorrent, a peer-to-peer file sharing program was released on July 2nd 2001. It made sharing larger files between computers easier because of the method it uses to break down the files over the networks.
It was originally developed by Bram Cohen.
It is now maintained by his company, BitTorrent, Inc. -
Power Mac G5 Was Released
The Power Mac G5 was released on June 23rd 2003. It was Manufactured and sold by Apple Computer. It was marketed by apple as the world's first 64-bit desktop computer. -
Blu-Ray Disc Player was Released Worldwide
Blu-Ray Disc Players were designed to make the original DVD format obsolete. Blu-Ray is capable of storing several hours of high definition video. It requires a violet laser to read instead of the red laser that a DVD needs. It was developed by Sony and the Blu-Ray Disc Association. It was released worldwide on June 20th, 2006. (My Birthday!) -

The Apple iPad, First Generation was released on April 3rd, 2010.
It was Developed by Apple and Manufactured by Foxconn Technology Group. It was a tablet computer, the first in the iPad line.
