    The Ethernet was developed in 1973. It was developed by Robert Metcalfe, he was a member of the research staff for Xerox. This invention was made mostly to connect multiple computers to a local network. In the long run, this cable was used to provide internet to the computers.

    Xerox Alto was introduced in 1974. It was one of the earlier computers that made a wide influence in the computer industry. It could also share files and print documents using an advanced Xerox laser printer during that time.

    The Commodore PET was released in the home computer market in 1977. It features a MOS technology 8-bit 6502 microprocessor. This technology became very successful in the educational market.

    The first spreadsheet program for personal computers. This was originally created for the Apple II in 1979 by VisiCorp. This paved the way to the spreadsheets we use today which are Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Zoho Sheets and etc.
