    Ronald Reagan Presidency

    Ronald Wilson Reagan was an American politician who served as the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989 and became a highly influential voice of modern conservatism. Prior to his presidency, he was a Hollywood actor and union leader before serving as the 33rd governor of California from 1967 to 1975. He survived an assassination attempt, is know for his famous quote, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!", and his idea of economics, called Reaganomics.

    The Space Shuttle Challenger disaster was a fatal incident in the United States space program that occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 1986, when the Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. NASA was at fault due to a faulty design and took a 32-month hiatus from the space shuttle program.

    The Berlin Wall was a guarded concrete barrier that physically and ideologically divided Berlin from 1961 to 1989. Construction of the Wall was commenced by the German Democratic Republic on 13 August 1961. The Wall cut off West Berlin from surrounding East Germany, including East Berlin. Gorbachev's policies of Glasnost and Perestroika started the breaking down, and was a significant event due to it being the demise of the USSR and a symbolic end to the Cold War.

    The Waco Siege

    The Waco siege was the siege of a compound which belonged to the religious sect Branch Dravidians, and it was carried out by American federal and Texas state law enforcement, as well as by the U.S. military, between February 28 and April 19, 1993. The founder was known for holding and arsenal of weapons. During an attack to invade Mount Carmel Center, the building erupted in flames creating a climatic end to the siege.

    The Oklahoma City bombing was a domestic terrorist truck bombing on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Perpetrated by Americans Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols, the bombing killed at least 168 people, injured more than 680 others, and destroyed one-third of the building.

    The Centennial Olympic Park bombing was a domestic terrorist pipe bombing attack on Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 27 during the 1996 Summer Olympics. The blast directly killed one person and injured 111 others; another person later died of a heart attack. The bombing was commited on by Eric Robert Rudolph.

    At Columbine High School in Colorado, a school shooting and attempted bombing occurred at Columbine High School in Columbine, Colorado, United States. The perpetrators, twelfth grade students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, murdered 12 students and one teacher.
