Release of C as a programming language

1972

Dennis Richie (and team) rewrites BPCL as C. Also rewrites the source code from UNIX as C for easier distribution sometiime before 1973.

Release of first video game: Pong

Nov 29, 1972

Modeled after table-tennis, this would be the first installment of a hugely popular industry.

Apple-1

Apr 11, 1976

The Apple-1 hits the market after it's invention by Steve Wozniak. It's primary audience was for computer tinkerers.
