    The Floppy Disk, which was invented by Warren L Dalziel and became the standardized data storage device for more than 20 years after its invention. It had a maximum storage capacity of approximately 80 kilobytes. Allowed people to store and backup important information.

    The Ethernet was invented in 1973 by Robert Metcalfe. The ethernet was created to connect many computers over long distances. It enabled devices to communicate with each other by means of protocol.
  • Altair 8800 Microcomputer

    Altair 8800 Microcomputer
    The microcomputer invented in 1975 by MITS allowed the addition of peripheral components. This allowed people to use a keyboard, and many other things.
  • Apple 1 Computer

    Apple 1 Computer
    Apple 1, which was invented by Steve Wozniak in 1975 was the start of the personal computer industry. It was the first apple product to be sold. Unlike Altair, the Apple 1 didn't need expansion cards for video output and keyboard input.
  • Intel 8088

    The Intel 8088 was invented by Intel in 1979 which was a big success. IBM chose it to be the CPU in its first mass-produced personal computer.
