This was the day when the great Martin Luther King Jr died. This historical man was known for several things as an American Clergy, activist, a pastor and a leader of African-American Civil Rights Movement. This was done by him using nonviolent civil actions. He was shot while standing on the second floor balcony of his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. The bullet hit through the right side of his neck, smashing his throat and then going down his spinal cord and died. -

In 1969 the Apollo 11 mission, set foot on the moon. Neil Armstrong became the very first man to set foot on another planet/star.
