  • Telstar Satellite

    Telstar Satellite
    The Telstar Satellite was invented in 1962 within a partnership between: Bell Labs, NASA, AT$T, and the UK's General Post Office. It was the very first commercial satellite to go into orbit and changed the way of communication. It helped trasher calls, television pictures, fax machines and more. During it's time it handled 400 transmissions.
  • Cassette Tape

    Cassette Tape
    The first cassette tape was invented in 1963 by the Phillips company. It changed the way in which people listened to music. A cassette tape was smaller and made it easier to carry it around, it became portable. People could listen to music wherever they liked and whenever.
  • BASIC Programming Language

    BASIC Programming Language
    The BASIC Programming Language was invented by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz in 1964 as part of a project. It allowed for direct communication with a computer through keyboards and teletype printers. The computers we have now and the way we interact with them began because of this innovation.
  • Computer Mouse

    Computer Mouse
    Douglas Engelbart invented the first computer mouse in 1964. The computer mouse was made out of woods and had two gear-wheels perpendicular to each other, to help the mouse move. It completely changed the way people interacted with computers. It is now used everyday.
  • RAM

    RAM
    The RAM memory (random-access memory) was invented by Robert Dennard in 1968. The RAM collects information, stores it temporarily, and can later be retrieved on a computer. It is still very widely used in today's society and makes it easy to not loose important data.
