First Gen
The first Chevy Impala ever. An upscale variant of the Chevy Bel Air. The name was introduced to celebrate the 50 year mark of GM vehicle production. -
Second Gen
This was 1959 through 1960. The 1959 Impala was also known as The Cat's Eye, and is the best Impala of all time. Lower, wider, and bigger. The last North American passenger car in the industry with an available front bench seat. -

Third Gen
1961 through 1964. First Gen to wear an SS badge. Lots of references from pop culture. -
Fourth Gen
1965 through 1970. This gen saw the end of the ICONIC 409 V8s. Saw both the 427 and 454 cubic inch Turbo-Jet big block engines. -
Fifth Gen
1971 through 1976. The first Generation to be fitted with airbags. Also the ugliest so far. -
Sixth Gen
1977 through 1985. The Impala got smaller, slicker, and more efficient with emissions. The largest engine offered for this generation was a 350 cubic inch small block. Also available with diesel. Yikes. -
Seventh Gen
1994 through 1996. A disgusting display. This was a Caprice in everything but name. It had a beefed up suspension and it sat a bit lower. One of the shortest running Impala gens. The potential was thrown away. And again. Ugly. -
Eighth Gen
2000 through 2005. The most forgettable Impala ever. Literally a Lumina with a new badge. It looks like it's made to be used in a jewel heist because no one would even remember what vehicle they saw driving away when they were talking to the cops. An actual shame to the name of Impalas. -
9th Gen
2006 through 2016. This one lasted a whole ten years. Somehow. I literally could not tell you how someone bought this thing. Mainly survived as a police car. -
10th Gen
2014 through 2020. Offered in both 4 and 6 cylinders, and not as an SS variant. So far, this is supposed to be the last available Impala. But she'll shine again. And hopefully less ugly.
