Simply known as "The Klan"
Starting in the 1950s by several independent groups.
The groups main purpose was at first to scare African Americans to try and stop them from having equal rights, but soon enough their plans became more violent bombing the houses of Civil Rights activist. -

The Murder Of Emmett Till
Emmett Luois Till was a 14 year old African American boy who was lynched in Mississippi, Emmet came from Chicago but arrivaed in Mississippi to visit a relative in Money. Emmet's lynching came about beause it was reported that he was "fliritng" with a white woman by simply whisteling at her, her husband and brother killed emmet and were unfortunatly found not guilty for the death of Emmet Till. -

The Soviet Union successfully launched Sputnik 1, the worlds first satelite weighing 183.9 pounds taking about 98 minutes to orbit. The launching of the Sputnik 1 started the begining of the space age. -

The freedom riders were a groups of 13 African Americans/ White civil rights activists who protested against interstate bus terminals, becoming the voice of African Americans. -

Becoming one of the most used/ known company to this day. Founded by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight as Blue Ribbon Sports not taking the name nike until May 30th 1971. Within its first years the company sold around 1,300 pairs of japanese shoes adding up tp around $8,000 -
The Black Panther Movement
Oringally known as "The Black Panther Party For Self-Defense" was a black nationalists/ socialist organization.
Practicing militant self-defense of minority against the government, trying to establich socialism,
They often had armed citizens monitor the behavior of police officers and sometimes even challenged them causing rucus. -
My Lai Massacer
A veitnam war mass killing around 347 and 504 unarmed civilians in South Vietnam. Taking a top spot as one of the most horrific incients against civilians during the war. Victims of this massacre included many men, woman, children and infants. -
MLK Assasination
Martin Luther King Jr. was well known as a civil rights leader who was assainated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. James Earl Ray was arrested on June 8th, 1968 and charged for the assasination of MLK. He tried many different times to withdraw his plead but ended up dying in prison at the age of 70. -
Watergate Scandle
The Watergate Scandle was a major scandle in whihc President Nixon had something to do with. Pesident Nixon's administration attempted to cover up his involvement, but were soon discovered and investigated. -
Apple inc.
Apple was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in 1976. Apple was then incorperated on january 3rd, 1977. having to this day around 115, 000 workers. Over the years apple has grew to one of the most used products in this generation. -
Elvis Presley
Elvise Presely is known as a legendary singer but mostly known for his courageous dance moves. Born on January 8th in Tupelo Mississippi, starting his music career in 1954. At this time parents didnt like him beause of the way he moved his hips, not wanting their daughters to watch him.
