    The Senate Dismisses Treaties and Leagues
    In this year Europe is thinking of forming the League of Nations, which is a partnership between all the fighting forces in WW1. After the Senate declares that futile, the Treaty of Versailles is created by President Woodrow Wilson. It gave Germany not as many consequences for war. Not many people approved, therefore it was not passed in the Senate.

    19th Amendment Passed
    After around a 72 year battle to get suffrage, the women finally did it. The 19th amendment gave all sexes the right to vote. It was now against the law to not allow a person the right to vote because they are female.

    Harding Wins The Election
    Harding won the 1920 by a landslide with over half the US voting for him in total. He had 60% of the popular vote and 75% of the electoral vote. He was running with Vice President Calvin Coolidge, who in later years became the president.

    Congress passed the immigration allowance, and for the first time not all Europeans were free to immigrate to the US. In some areas, Southern and Eastern Europe, there was a very strict amount of immigrants allowed in. Contrary to that, immigrants from Northern and Western Europe were more welcomed.

    Two men, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, were tried on the account of murder. It is very controversial whether or not they committed the crime because many people were discriminatory towards them. By looking at the last names, you can assume they were Italian immigrants, which weren't exactly welcomed into the US at this time.

    In a San Francisco Hotel room President Warren G. Harding dies of a stroke. Calvin Coolidge, being the Vice President at the time, gets the position of President. He was the 29th President and held the position for around two years.

    On August 8, the year 1925, the 30,000 Ku Klux Klansmen march to Washington. Clad in their white-hooded garments, they marched down Pennsylvania Avenue. The group marched in complete silence, but didn't cause any major disturbances.

    Babe Ruth Hits 60th Home Run
    The all star New York Yankees player breaks a record and hits 60 home runs in a single season. He broke his own record at 59, and it stood for more than 30 years. Today, the record is held by San Francisco Giants Player Barry Bonds, who hit 73 home runs in a season.

    Herbert Hoover became the 31st President in 1928. He affiliated with the Republican party, turning the offices slightly more conservative. He ran under the slogan, "A chicken in every pot, a car in every garage."

    The Stock Markets crashed in 1929, which made the Great Depression occur. The economy was trashed and many people went bankrupt. Banks went out of business and it took a long time to get the nation back from the shambles it was in.
