    Colonel William Joseph Simmons started the klan again. The Ku Klux Klan were against African-Americans,Catholics,Jews and foriegners. They would use beatings, cross-burnings, kidnappings, and murders to get their way. By 1920, the Ku Klux Klan had 5 million men.

    Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were charged with murder and robbing a shoe factory. Many people think they were charged because they were anarchists and immigrants. They were later sentenced to the electric chair. This turned people's views of immigrants.

Fall was convicted and sentenced to 1 year in prison. Many other people in Harding's adminstration resigned. Harding's popularity was hurt after this incident.

They were tryimg to take over as many islands as possible.

    This battle is a key battle on the eastern front. German forces controlled over 9/10 of the city. Then all of a sudden, the Russians had a rally and made many Germans surrender. German forces were now in retreat and didn't stop until Berlin. Over 1,000,000 Russian citizens died in this battle.

    This conference is key because it decides how Germany will be split up. Germany ends up being split into 4 sections. The Soviet zone, American zone, and the British zone were the biggest ones. The soviet zone were communist. while the other zones are free. However, Berlin is split into West Berlin(free) and East Berlin(communist).

    The Soviet Union blocked all railways and highways from West Berlin. This blocked many sources of supplies for West Berlin. U.S and British planes had to drop supplies( food,fuel,and other supplies) to West Berlin citizens. After 321 days, the Soviet Union removed the blockades because they did not want to risk another world war. It lasted until May 21,1949

    Korea splits into two governments, one- communist(North) and one - republic(South).North Korea invaded South Korea and almost put South Korea in extinction. Then UN forces came into South Korea and pushed North Korea back to China until the Chinese pushed South Korea back to the 38th parallel. Both sides ended up with the same territory.
