The Titanic sunk on the morning of April 15th 1912. over 2200 people died in the wreckage. They hit an iceberg at about 3:00 in the morning. Women and children were allowed on the life boats first. First class was allowed on the boats first in front of everyone except for the men. -

This tragic event happened in a four year time span. This span was from 1914-1918. As the title may indicate the War happened all over the world. World war one was a giant war that was happening throughout the world. Some of the countries that were involved were U.S.A, Serbia, Russia, Japan, the German Empire, France, China, and the British. In this war many people were killed, and all were scared. This caused people to move to countries where they felt protected like America. -

King Tut was an ancient Egyptian pharoah. He was so famous for becoming pharoah at the age of 12, and dying at 18. -

This was actually called The International Winter Sports Week, even though it went on for eleven days, and took place in the French Alps. Scandanavia absolutely dominated the events. -

Harry Houdini was a very famous magician. Both his first and last name started with the letter h. He beleived in the afterlife. He was most famous for his escape acts. -
Sacco, Vanzetti were executed
Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were accused of robbing a shoe factory. While doing this they killed two men. The punishment was being sent to death. They were both Italian. Pennicillan is a modern medicine that reduced illnesses and pain. -

This miracle happened because of a great man. His name was Otto Frederick. His magical machine changed how people thought of as the norm of bread making. Otto had a bread slicing machine prototype, but it was killed in a fire. It took him 16 more years to finaly finish his slicing machine. I think we all agree it was worth the wait.

This was the day when seven rival gang members where excutded. They were called "Caponens" and part of Al Capon's gang. The Great Depression started in the U.S. People say that it was caused by a large drop in the stock market that was on September 4, 1929. It wasn't big news across the world until around October 29, 1929. Lots of people had no jobs, and were had barley any money. It was hard to find food and good paying jobs. The Hindenburg exploding was a horrible tragedy. There was 97 people on board and there was 61 crewmen. Overall there was 35 fatalities and 1 crewman.
