Paris' Musee d'Orsay is completed (didn't realize it was built in a former train station!). Three architects dreamt up the museum: Lucien Magne, Émile Bénard, and Victor Laloux. Parfait.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Beatrix Potter
A children's book loved by all that follows the story of the courageous little Peter Rabbit and his hare brained adventures ha! The first edition was published privately by writer Beatrix Potter in 1901. A publisher then began printing the book in 1902. Over a 100 years later and the story is still heralded!
