The Industrial Revolution went from some time around 1760 to 1820 or 1840. The Industrial Revolution was about changing from methods to machines, new chemical manufacturing and iron production procesess and also developing things like tools and so on. -
The American Revolution
The American Revolution went from 1775 to 1783. This is also known as the U.S War of Independence or The American Revolutionary War. -
The First Fleet
The first fleet is the name of the first 11 ships that left Great Britian heading towards Australia. The passengers consisted of 10 civil officers, 212 Marines, including officers, an additional 28 wives and 17 children of the marines, 81 free persons, 504 male convicts and 192 female convicts. The total number of free people was 348 and the total number of prisoners was 696, which adds up to a total of 1044 people on board. -
French Revolution
The French Revolution went from 1789 to 1799, It was a period of time where there was a political upheaval in France that had a long impact of the French HIstory and also throughout the World. -
Civil War
The American Civil War went from April 12, 1861 to May 9, 1865. It was a war fought between the North and the several Southern Slave states. -
Abraham Lincolns assassination
Abraham Lincolns assasination took place on Good Friday as the American Civil War was coming to an end. Lincoln was the first American president to be assassinated. -
Scramble For Africa
The scramble for Africa or the Race for Africa was the invasion, occupation and colonization of the African Countries. The scramble was between seven different countries. They where the Belgain, British, French, German, Italian, Portugese and the Spanish. This went from a 1870 to a 1914 period. -
Boer Wars
The Boer Wars were two wars fought during 1880-1881 and again in 1899-1902. The wars where fought by the British Empire, the Dutch, the Orange Free State and the Transvaal Republic. The wars are sometimes reffered to as the 'South African War' seeing that majority of the black population of South Africa taking place in them. -
Invention of the Car
The very first single car ever invented was by Karl Benz in 1886. But the very first model or group of cars invented was by Henry Ford in 1896. Im not exactly sure what date the very first car was made but it was in the year 1886. -
Federation of Australia
The Federation of Australia was a period in time when the six British self-govening colonies of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia and joined together to become one nation. Im not sure on what period of time the Federation of Australia occured. -
The Ford Motor Company
The ford motor company was founded by Henry Ford who was born on the 20th of July 1863 in Michigan. Their first ever production of cars made was the Model T which was introduced on October the 1st 1908. As Henry Ford was the owner of the Ford Motor Company he became one of the richest men and most known people in the world. -
Making of the Titanic
Construction of the Titanic began in 1909. Harland and Wolff had to make alterations to their shipyard (larger piers and gantries) to accommodate the giant liners, Titanic and her sister ship Olympic. The two ships were to be built side-by-side. -
Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand
Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assasinated by Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo on the Latin Bridge, his wife was also assainated with him. Gavrilo Princip was one of the six Bosnian Serb assassins coordinated by Danilo Ilić. This assasination was the main cause of World War 1 because Austria declared war on Serbia. -
World War 1
The causes of World War I, which began in central Europe in late July 1914, included intertwined factors, such as the conflicts and hostility of the four decades leading up to the war. Militarism, alliances, imperialism, and nationalism played major roles in the conflict as well. World War 1 went from 28th of July 1914 to the 11th of November 1918.
