Bacon and group attack Natives for land, this frustrates Jamestown. So the group burns down Jamestown, causing the number of slaves to rise because the government no longer wants small farmers acting out. -

Salem Witch Trials
Many are accused of witchcraft and suffer various consequences for this. Later it was discovered that the accusations were inaccurate, accusers were not punished but those accused still suffered.
