  • Death of Queen Elizabeth

    With the death of Queen Elizabeth, who never married, brought major religious and political conflict. Since she never married, the throne was passed down to whomever was next in line. Unfortunately this was King James I, who's son would later be executed.

    Those 104 settlers reached Chesapeake Bay after months at sea dealing with dangerous storms.

    The Spanish decided to turn Santa Fe into its capitol, meanwhile turning New Mexico into a royal province.

    Harsh Winter in The American Colonies

    The settlers tried to survive the harsh winter and food shortage by eating whatever they could, even resorting to cannibalism. This is very similar to a later event of history when George Washington was a general in the American Revolution.

    At this time, unlike before, women were brought to the colonies to help raise the population. Unfortunately, they found the settlement completely destroyed as the previous settlers used cabins and fort walls as fire wood.

    During his terror he raised taxes over Britain without the consultancy of his parliament, proceeded to harass the Puritans, and even disbanded parliament withing the span of eleven years.
  • Scottish Revolt from the British

    This all started when Charles I forced Anglican forms of worship onto Presbyterian Scotland.
  • King Charles Revives Parliament

    With the revival of parliament King Charles orders the members to raise taxes in order to pay for the revolt unleashed by the Scottish.

    His capture was led by Puritan Oliver Cromwell, which happened in the eyes of the public. He was convicted for accounts of high treason and contempt of Parliament,

    He was then labeled as a tyrant, traitor, murderer, and public enemy.

    He ruled like a military dictator and outlawed Roman Catholics and Anglicans. The Anglican Royalists that escaped by sailing to Virginia are called Cavilers.
