    Founded by Thomas Hooker. Fundamental Orders helped Connecticut establish a representative government or "Christian Commonwealth".
  • The Pequot War

    The Pequot War
    War between the Native Americans and British settlers for the control of the land and trade. Narragansett and the Mohegan tribe were allies with the English settlers who had won against the Pequot.

    Navigation Act
    Parliament sets this act to prevent colonies from trading to other places and decreasing on foreign goods. The hatred for the British began to arise from the settlements.

    King Philip's War
    An attempt to stop English colonists from settling in the Natives land. King Philip (chef of the Wampanoags) is killed. Ending the war between the Natives and New England.
  • Bacon's Rebellion

    Bacon's Rebellion
    A war after William Berkeley refused Bacon's request to remove the Native Americans out of Virginia. Bacon seized Jamestown and burned the town down.
  • Pennsylvania

    Pennsylvania was founded by William Penn. It was a safe land for Quakers. Received a Royal Charter along with land from King Charles II.
