James town
James Town was founded in 1607. This is when 104 English men, who were funded by Virginia, arrived in America to start a settlement. This was the first permanent settlement in North America. It was named after King James. This site is important because it was picked so they could defend themselves from Spanish attacks using the water surrounding it. -

This was a rebellion led by Nathaniel Bacon. Kinds of Bacons Rebellion was an armed rebellion in 1676. This rebellion caused things like the decrease in tobacco prices and higher prices of English manufactured goods. This rebellion was against Governor Willian Berkely.
