Columbus arrived in America
Columbus' voyage was funded by the King and Queen of Spain. He set out with three ships to find a new trading route to the Indies. He died believing he found the Indies and did not know he had descovered a new world, Though he did not find the Indies, his most important finding was that the winds of the Atlantic blow in a clockwise direction. -

Luther begins Protestant Reformation
The Protestant Reformation was a movement led by Martin Luther to reform the Catholic church. The new ideas brought about divided christians and reshaped the politcal and religious values in Europe. It also led to modern concepts of Democracy. -
Lost Colony of Roanoke is descovered
Led people to realize that Columbus was not the first to descover and land on the new world -
