The goal of the Spanish Armada was for Spanish ships to escort troops into England and take over. The Spanish fleet was defeated due to weather and fireships. Since England was Protestant, this encouraged people to become Protestant. -

The Edict of Nantes gave the Huguenots the most rights they had ever had. They were free from persecution and allowed the publicly worship, except not in Paris. -

The Glorious Revolution
When James II succeded the throne he caused England to stir as he was their first Catholic monarch since Mary. People of England asked William and Mary of Scotland who were Calvinist to take over the throne. There was no bloodshed and everyone but James ended up happy.
