    Henry the Navigator

    1394-1460, he became the Portuguese Prince who promoted the study of navigation and he directed voyages of explorers down the western coast of Africa. He never really sailed, instead he established a school for people to learn how to sail, study the arts of navigation.and mapmaking. Thanks to him, the Portuguese were able to explore all the coast of Africa.

    Reign of Sunni Ali

    Sunni Ali was king of Songahi Empire and when he started ruling it, it was a small kingdom. During his 28 year reign the kingdom grew to be the largest and most powerful kingdom in West Africa.     He took charge of the way that forgiveness of past sins were treated.He was a very wealthy man from prayers and studies. A letter by him was written to Pope Leo asking him to stop abusing and challenging his followers. A representative led Luther into a disagreement with the church nd he burned the document he had sent to the pope.     Dias was the first European to go around the Cape of Good Hope into the Indian Ocean. After going around the horn, his crew forced him to turn around and return to Portugal.also launched the colonial project in the East.     He was in search of riches in the Indian Oceans. Spains crusaders were less than three months away from the monarchs. They ordered the Jews to expel their kingdoms.     This empire was ruled by an indigenous Muslim Dynasty. A Moroco kingdom sent 4,000 men to the desert and half of the men survived.In 1591, the surviors faced the Songhais army and the conquered them.     He was a well-educated Frenchman who studied theology but was inspired by Luthe to become a religious man.     Theh founder was named Babur. The Ottoman perople were mainly Christian and Jewish. Babur ruled more like a governer instead of a king.     Akbar was great commander who built the largest army ever in the history of the Mughal empire. There was a policy about a religion but after a while that was aproved and the Hindus were able to practice their religion without having anyone tell them otherwise or bothering them.     In 1609, he built a telescope which he was able to take a closer look at the sky. He came to a conclusion that earth was not alone in being heavy and changable. He believed that God revealed a language that people learned by observation and scientific reasoning in nature. a guy named Isaac Newton verified Galileis claim by saying that it was gravity holding the planets together, not angles.

    The Africans were great workers because they had a good amount of experience with agriculture and keeping cattle. They were also used to the tropical climate so it was less likely for them to die due to diseases. The slaves proved to be well educated and they also showed that they could be trusted.
