First Thanksgiving
The Indian Squanto became their first Indian friend. He taught the English to grow and hunt food. The English threw a 3 day party for a thank you to Squanto for helping them survive. -
Massachusetts Bay Colony
The Massachusetts Bay Company was granted a charter to trade in and colonize the part of New England. Catholics weren't allowed to practice their religion there. -
Maryland Colony
This Colony was the first ever Colony to be catholic. It was a place to practice their catholic religion and not get persecuted. -
William Penn
William was given and in the New World that was southwest of New Jersey. William thought he would call it Sylvania but was later called Pennsylvania.
