    Queen Elizabeth allowed Walter Raleigh to send out 100 people from England to Roanoke Island, Roanoke Island is off the coast of North Carolina.

    Near 1587 they found out the men in the fort were killed by some of my people. (Native Americans). A man named Fernandez and John White and many others decided to settle in Roanoke Island. When John White and Fernandez went to England for supplies they found out the war between spain and England had been going on. They were forced to stay in England. When they came back to the Island everyone was gone and the word "CROATOAN" was carved on a near by tree.
