Picture 3Rumers spread which caused men and women to revolt. The king fled to versailles. In Paris, women walked 13 miles in the pouring rain and refused to leave until they were given bread. Church was placed under states control. Constitution and monasterires were elimated. The church wasn't happy about this. Constitution of 1791 reflected enlightenment ideas. -
