    -the inauguration is always on January 20th because in the olden days there needed to be a long amount of time between election day and inauguration day becasue it took a long time to find out the winner. However, new technology made it faster to tally the votes and report the winner so they did not need a long time between the two days anymore. The 20th ammend. was passed and it changed it to a closer date to election day(jan. 20)
