Louis XVI was forced to sign the Constitution and the constutional monarchy was estabilished. A few months earlier, in June, the king tried to flee from Paris. He was caught in Varennes ( the arres of louis XVI and his family at Varennes, Thomas Falcon Mashall 1854) -
The national Cobention began in 1791
It grew more radical over time. That period was know as The Terror and it reached its peak during the Robespierre dictartorship (Maximilien Rebespierre, 1790). -
