Every night I had to read at least two chapters before bed. Reading the bible gave me an understanding of Shakespeare in high school. -

Reading out loud in 6th grade helped me become a confident reader. -
Learning definitions
Searching for the meaning of words to expand my vocabulary and comprehension was the goal of studying the dictionary. -
Introduction of essay writing
In 9th grade English class essays were the way we showed our knowledge of a particular subject. This is where I learned true sentence structure and how to only write what is important. -
Taking reading functional test
In high school I took the last of my functional test. Reading and writing were stressful even though I had always done well. -
A love for books
Reading is fun a no longer a chore.
