10 Major Events that Led up to the American Revolution

  • French/ Indian War

    There were colonies in North America. The British wanted to trade the Native American who lived at Ohio River Valley. The French and the Indians built forts to protect their land from the British. Washington led an army and started the war against the French.
  • Stamp Act

    People had to pay tax for everything they used, such as legal documents, newspaper, and papers.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    It was the act that people had to pay tax on glass, paints, and tea. The products had to be imported from Britian.
  • Boston Massacre

    It took place on Kings Street in Boston. It was a brawl between American colonists and a British soldier and it turned into a chaos. There was too many taxed against the colonists in the soldiers town. Colonists started calling the British names and the British destroyed their properties.
