Creation of Project
I began my Genius Project concerning the topic of zero hunger. The goal of this project was to raise awareness concerning the issue of world hunger. I wanted to address the issue and come up with ways to help come closer to achieving the goal. -

Brainstorm Advocacy
I brainstormed ways to advocate for informing the public of the food waste crisis. I decided the best way to accomplish this was through an interactive video that allowed the viewers to learn and answer questions concerning the topic. This video raised awareness on the issue and featured valuable information on food waste and how to contribute to the cause. -
Advocacy Strategy
I developed an advocacy strategy to inform people of the goal and how they can contribute by limiting their food waste and consumption. I wanted the community to become involved and learn ways they can participate in working toward the achievement of this goal in their everyday lives. -
EdPuzzle
I created an interactive video with EdPuzzle that would allow the community to view a video concerning my advocacy strategy and included questions to test the viewers as they watched. Here is the link to my EdPuzzle:

Launch the EdPuzzle
I launched the EdPuzzle on my social media in order to gain responses from my community. I needed feedback in order to understand how much others were informed on the topic. -
Analyze Results
I gained the results from my EdPuzzle and learned that not a lot of people are informed on the topic of zero hunger, in particular food waste. The results informed me that there is still a lot to be done in order to help the cause of reducing food waste. -
Feedback and Reflection
Based on the results from my EdPuzzle, I can conclude there is much to be done to contribute to the cause of ending world hunger. With sixteen participants, I knew I needed to think of other ways to engage the community in order to gain more attention for the problem. All of the participants brainstormed effective ways they could contribute to the cause, so I knew it was only a matter of the number of all who was involved in the project. -
Brainstorm New Ways to Improve
Based on the results of my EdPuzzle I decided I needed to think of ways to improve in order to make more of an impact. These new ways could be to post more videos on my social media or I could distribute infographics raising awareness for ways to cut down on food waste. -

Analyze Results of New Improvements
Although I would still love for more support and there is always room for improvement, I would say the second phase of raising awareness proved to go according to plan. There were more respondents and those that seemed passionate about playing their part in the second phase of my social media promotion. I have now had a total of 41 community members to engage in this project. This was very encouraging and made me realize what a big difference that even a small community can make.
