Trench Warfare was a form of fighting in World War 1. Troops would dig out trenches, so that they could not be seen, nor fired at. This idea lead to the defeat of Germany and Austria-Hungry. On an average, 1 in 4 Americans were without a job, and were living out of homes covered by metal, called Hoovervilles. This is the worst economic time in the US. -

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born January 30th, 1882. He was elected president in the middle of the Great Depression, and turned the world around for most Americans. He lead them out of debt, unemployment and homelessness. He died April 12th, 1945 of a massive stroke. -

In 1991, the Cold war finally came to an end. The communist rule in the Solviet Union was no more, and the rest of Europe had for the most part, rejected the idea of communism. This came to the result of more countries adopteing capitalism to birng in more wealth.
