The coming of Jazz
The invention of jazz is one that shook the world. At this time not many genres of music have been made and the creation of jazz in New Orleans is one that is still around and very popular today. Jazz is popular all over the world and still has a growing popularity rate to this day. It is hard to say who and when someone invented jazz, but around the 1920's is when jazz really took off. Famous musicians like Buddy Bolden and Nick LaRocca are to credit for making jazz so big. -
Women gain the right to vote
On August 18th, 1920 all of the women's suffrage movements had finally made the people give in. On that day women gained the right to vote in the United states. Not only is this very important to the United States, but to the whole world too. This is because now that women can vote, the president that got elected and made the big decisions that change the wolrd; was voted up by men AND women. Now on the terms of equality, they are both equal here. -

The debut of Steamboat willie led to the great revolution of Disney shows, cartoons, and movies to follow. Walt Disney invented the show as an attempt to make something new, and this is exactly what he accomplished. He managed to spark a whole new field of entertainment and it changed a lot of things around in the movie making buisness then, which in turn changed it for the rest of the world, and even until today. -
The Great Depression
The great depression was a time of economic hardship for America. Jobs were down as inflation was high and lots of people were poor and did not have many jobs. This impacts the world, because some countries had relied on America for certain economic properties and when America could no longer support them, they fell apart. It is very fortunate for us that American had gotten through that. -

The discovery of Pluto is a great leap forward in the field of astronmy, and this is why it is important. Although not technically deemed a planet today, the discovery of pluto then was a great discovery. Scientists had managed to develope their technology so far as to see this far into our solar system.
