    Germany Invades Poland
    On August 1939, there was a pact made between the Soviet army and Germany which made it easier for them to take down Poland on September 1 1939 without. This war is known as "The lightning war", and within weeks Poland was defeated. All done for more "living space".

  • Germany Invades France

    Germany Invades France
    The invasion of France started on May 1940, German soldiers made their way through France and pushed the French army to the beaches of Dunkirk where they fought while Hitler took over Paris. The French wasn't in the best shape by this time so they eventually surrendered.

    Germany Bombs London and the Battle of Britain begins
    This battle was mostly fought in the air, this battle was very important because not only did Britain bring home victory but it gave other countries hope that Germany can be defeated. 1940, 300 German bomber raid London for a number of nights, this is called the Blitzkrig.

    The US supplied Britain with war supplies in exchange for Caribbean and Bermuda bases. This act would help a lot of countries during wwll, and was in placed in march 1941.

    Operation Barbarossa
    Operation Barbarossa was the Germans attack on the Soviet Union to try and take control of them. They attacked during the winter, where the Germans were low on supplies and freezing, but because Hitler said to stay there grounds the soldiers surrendered, losing the battle.

    Bombing of Pearl Harbor
    Japanese Invaded Pearl Harbor on December of 1941 around 8 in the morning. Two waves of Japanese fighter planes attacked, that same day President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan.

    This now brings the US into wwll. Because Japan and Germany signed a pack to help each other if one was attacked, Germany declared war so if they did take over the US japen would help Germany take over Russia.

    75,00 0f Filipino and American soldiers had surrendered and were forced to walk a 65 mile march to prison camps. During this march thousand of soldiers had been harshly treated by the Japanese.

    This battle was between Japanese naval as well as the US navy. Because we broke Japanese coding we were able to counter attack in the Pacific Ocean, the US was victorious.

    Germany tried to invade the Soviet Union but failed to. On February 1943, the Germans surrendered, they were low on all supplies and were freezing, 150,000 German soldiers died.

    Around 400,000 Jews were living in Warsaw Ghetto, thousands were dying very month and its surrounded by brick walls. On April 1943 Nazis came in with armed and with tanks but the Jews rebelled and revolted which gave other camps and ghettos courage to revolt.

    Liberation of concentration camps
    Allied troops moved across Europe and started to find thousands of concentration camps with Jew who had survived. As the Soviets found more and more camps the Germans tried to hide what they were really doing to the Jews in the camps, they tried to dismantle it all but the gas chambers were still standing. Their findings of what were at these camps were horrid, and the Jews were freed.

    American, British, and Canadian forces were in battle with Germany. They fought at Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha, and Utah beaches.The Americans, British, and Canadians had secured the beaches with 320,000 soldiers, in which event they won the battle against Germany.

    This battle was formed by Hitler to split the allied armies by a surprise blitzkrieg attack through Ardennes to Antwerp. This battle was fought between German forces and the US army.

    This battle was between the Americans and Japanese, this is a very important battle because the photograph taken with the American flag being raised is a honorable moment. Three US marine divisions fought 23,000 Japanese and won the battle.

    On August 1945 the US dropped the worlds first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, three days later the US dropped one on Nagasaki. The Japanese surrendered and this ultimately ended WWll.
