    Picture clash occurred between Chinese and Japanese troops near Peiping in North China. When this clash was followed by indications of intensified military activity on the part of Japan, Secretary of State Hull urged upon the Japanese Government a policy of self-restraint. In a conversation of July 12 with Japanese Ambassador Saito, Secretary Hull elaborated upon the futility of war and its awful consequences, emphasizing the great injury to the victor as well as to the vanquished in case of war.

Polands military was defeated within weeks of the invasion.

    German Blitzkrieg

    PictureGerman blitzkrieg was a certain type of war tactic. They started with heavy groupings of armored vehicles such as tanks. They were then followed by mechanized infantry units which were followed closely by air support. Hitler also gave his soldiers pervitin on the front line which was speed. This made the soldiers go all night and all day. After the war most of the soldiers were addicted to these drugs.

    Fall of France

    Picturethe fall of France was also known as the battle of France. Germany successfully invaded France and the Low Countries. The Germans had such an organized system of soldiers that the British decided to evacuate. The French fought back for a while but the Germans were too stong. 360,000 French people were either killed or wounded.

It was the largest invasion in the history of warfare. In this invasion the Germans used 600,00 motor vehicles and 750,000 horses. This battle accounted for most of the casualties during the period from 1941 to 1944. This operation failed due to the soviet unions counter attacks.

    Picturethis was the war that brought the United States into WW2. It was a complete surprise attack by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Many japanese Bombers and torpedo planes launched in two waves from 6 aircraft carriers. All of the United States Navy battleships were damaged during the attack and four of them sank. Only 69 Japanese service mendied and one was captured. The United States declared war on japan the day after they attacked pearl harbor.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the final solution to the Jewish question. They discussed how the Jews would be rounded up and be taken to death camps. All of the legal discrimination against Jews started directly after the Natzis took power. This is what started the holocaust.
