The Japanese invasion of Manchuria was when the Kwantung army invaded after the Mukden incident because the Japanese blamed the Chinese for an explosion close to a Japanese railway. The invasion was for mainly revenge to get back at the Chinese but the invasion was also used to start the Japanese invasion of China. -
Hitler made Chancellor of Germany
Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg on January 30, 1933. Kristallnacht, also known as Night of Broken Glass,was series of attacks against Jews in Germany. Some Jews were killed during the attck, but most were arrested and sent to concentration camps. Jewish stores, homes, and places of worship were ransacked, vandalized, and even burned down. -

This attack not only cost the United States some of its navy force, but also thousands of poeple surving the navy were injured and killed. Filipino and American prisoners of war, captured by the Japanese military, were forced to run until they reached their destination at Camp O'donnell. Many of the prisoners died before reaching the camp because of starvation, exhaustion, dehydration, murder, and physical abuse by Japanese soldiers. -

Battle of Miday was on of the greatest and most important naval battles during World War II because the United States Navy defeated an attack by the Imperial Japanese army and inflicted major damage to the Japanese fleet. It was also the first naval defeat for the Japanese army. -

The bombing of Hiroshima was when the United States took the atomic bomb and dropped it on Hiroshima to push the Japanese to surrender and hopefully end WWII. The bomb destroyed the city and killed thounsands of people. The after effects were just as deadly because of the radiation of the bomb the soil and water in the area was contaminated, and those who didn't die suffered from th radiation. -

V J Day, also known as Victory over Japan Day, was the day when Japan surrendered and in effect ended World War II. The day is given to two dates, the day the Japanese surrendered and the next day when the documents to end World War II were signed. -

V E Day, also known as Victory in Europe day, is the day to mark the formal acceptance by the the Allies of World War II of Nazi Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces and the end of World War II.
