    Invasion of Poland
    Who: Germany and Poland. What: Germany invaded Poland for land. Where: In Poland. Why: Germany wanted to press on with ruleing the world and wanted to take over Polands land. Interesting Fact:Hitler had a non-agressiaon pact signed with Poland in 1934. Impact on the war: Poland had been taken over in no time but they didnt really have a big impact on Germany.
  • Britain and France declare War

    Who: France and Britain declare war on Germany. What: France and Britain declare war on Germany in 1939 September 3rd. Where: Britain and France swore to help Poland out so when Germany attacked Poland, Britain and france were supposed to come in defence but Germany captured it to quickly. Why: In the defence of Poland Britain and France swore to help them which made both countrys declare war upon Germany. IF: Britain and France never actually came in defence of Poland.   • Hitler invades France

    Who: France and Germany. What: Germany was now very powerful but so were other countrys so Hitler dicided if they took out France they would become even more powerful. Where: France. Why: Like i noted in the previous question they wanted to become even more powerful then what they were at the time.Germany needed more power to take over more pwoerful countrys. Interesting Fact: Blitzkrieg was very sucessful in france. It to be the key of the battle. IOW: Hitler mad lots of enemys that day.
  • Miracle at Dunkirk

    Who: British, French and Belgium troops. Against the Germans. What: Germany had English and French troops trap in Dunkirk. Until a fleet of british people rescued them. Where: France Dunkirk Why: Germans could have killed the English and French so easy but instead of killing them they decided not. Hitler feared it was a trap because it was to easy. So Hitler pulled his troops out. Interesting fact: 338,226 French and Britsh people were taken from Dunkirk. IOW: Soldiers hepled win war in end

    Who: Britain and Germany What: Britain and Germany faught against eachother in Britain. Mainly airforces faught this battle. Where: In Britain. Why: As Germany wanted to proceed on taking over many countrys they dicided to move to Britain. But britain had a stronger military and held off Germanys attacks. Interesting Fact: The Battle of Britain was the first major campaign fought by airforces. Impact on the war: Big because Britain helped the Allied forces defeat Germany.
  • Pearl Harbour

    Pearl Harbour
    Who: Japan and the united states. What: Japan bombed the U.S. at Pearl Harbour successfully defeating them. Where: The United States, Hawaii, Pearl Harbour Why: Military Navy base was there. Also bombed because Japan was invading southern Asia and the U.S wanted to stop that from happening so Japan bombed the U.S. Interesting Fact: The Japanese fleet consisted of 353 planes that attacked in three waves. Impact on the War: Made the United States join into WWII

    Who:US joins would war 2.They joined the day after japan had attacked Pearl Harbour. What: Tokyo declares war on US and Britain on December 8th 1941. Where: War took place over europian territory. Why: The US joined the war the day after Japan attacked them at Pearl Harbour. The US entered the war by declaring war opon the Japanies. Interesting fact: The number of US casualties was 405,399 Impact on the war: The USA was the back bone of the Allie group.

    Who: Japan and U.S.A. What: Japan wanted to do the same thing as they did during Pearl Harbour. Where: Midway Atoll Why: Do the same as Pearl Harbour Interestig Fact: 340 American killed. Inpact on war: Destoryed Japans Army
  • Raid on Dieppe

    Who: Germany and the Allied forces. Canada, USA, and Britain. What: The Allied forces gathered together to take over Germany, the Allies suceeded by proceeding to win the battle. Where: On the Northern coast of France. Why: The Allies wanted to push back the Germans from proceeding any further with there plans. Interesting Fact: 4,963 Canadain troops were sent into Northern Coast of France. Impact on War: Weakened Geman Army. Leading to win the war later on.
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    Who: Germany and its Allies against the Soviet Union. What: Germany and the Soiet Union faught in the Battle of Stalingrad. Where: In the Russian city Stalingrad. Why: Germany had signed a non-agression pack with the USSR which ment they wouldnt attack eachother nor help one another. Germany decided not to follow this contract and attack the USSR. That is when the Battle of Stalingrad started. I.Ft: This was thought to be the turning point of WW2 by many historians. IOW: Got USSR in WW2.

    D-day
    Who: The Allied forces. Against Germany. What: More than 1000 British bombers began dropping massive bombs on Normandy coastal defences. Where: Normandy. Why: The Allied forces gathered together to attack the Germans in Normandy so they could no longer press on with taking over other countrys and citites. The Allied forces won the battle. Interesting Fact: The Allies wanted to attack during high tide as this helped the ships to avoid obstacles put in the water. IOW: Destoryed many Naz
  • A-bomb dropped on Hiroshima

    Who: The united States and Japan. What: The United States threaten Japan to surrender, but Japan said no. So with out any further ado U.S.A drppoed a bomb on Hiroshima. Where: Hiroshima Japan. Why: Early in the start of WW2 Japan invaded Pearl Harbour. Interesting Fact: The bomb was named "Little boy" Impact on the War: Was one of the reasons WW2 ended. First of the two bombs drooped.
  • A-bomb dropped on Nagasaki

    Who: Japan and U.S.A. What: The U.S dropped a second A-bomb on Japan but in Nagasaki. Where: Nagasaki, Japan. Why: Japan refused to surrender under the United States so the United States dropped two A-bombs on Japan, the one in Hiroshima and this one in Nagasaki. Interesting Fact: This Bomb was named 'Fat man' Inpact on the War: One of the reasons WW2 ended. Second A-bomb dropped.

    Who: Japan and the United States. What: The United States dropped two A-bombs on Japan. One in Hiroshima and the other in Nagasaki. Where: Japan, Hiroshima/Nagasaki. Why: Earlier at the beggining of WW2 Japan had raided Pearl Harbour, making The U.S.A decide to join the war. The A-bombs were payback. Interesting Fact: Lasted 6 years and 1 day. Inpact on war: Ended the war.

    Who:Allied forces and the Axis forces. What: Allies started to take larges numbers of Axis prisoners. Germans leave Finland. Mussolini's death. Hitlers death. Germans surrender in Italy. Germans surrender in Berlin.Germans surrender in Northwest Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. Germans in Bavaria surrender. Allies Victory. Where: Europe. Why: Allies were to strong. Interesting Fact: Hitler kill himself. Inpact on the War: Ended WW2.
